Normally, decorated trees are saved for Christmas. The Laughing Tree is the exception to that. Prior to Halloween every year the Laughing Tree is spotted in the woods in Waterton Nation park. Legend has it that the Laughing Tree adds one new ornament per year. While normally such ornaments would scream in pain, this tree serves up something special. Each ornament can be heard laughing. So, the next time you’re in the woods in southern Alberta, watch out for the tree, you wouldn’t want to be added to its collection.
